Slow Stitching (Edmonton)
Slow Stitching: Thread and Fabric Collage
In this class, we will create 2-3 collages. Slow stitching includes different hand stitching techniques. We will focus on the running stitch for beginners, but you can also try more advanced stitches.
Your finished pieces can be mounted on card bases or used as patches for holes in your favourite sweater or blanket.

Ecoprinting workshop
Create one-of-a-kind botanical prints using the plants from the garden and forest. You will learn how to transfer the colours and shapes from leaves and flowers onto watercolour and mixed media papers. You will also learn how to create natural dye baths to create unique fabrics with your distinctive marks. These unique prints are beautiful for collage and encaustic applications. They can mounted, framed, used in mixed media, turned into cards or made into handmade books.

In this class you will create your own Cyanotype series on a variety of substrates: water colour paper, vintage papers, canvas, fabric and mixed media paper.
